Gillian Hayes, Vice Provost & Dean of Graduate Division
Dean Hayes is the Vice Provost for Graduate Education and Dean of the Graduate Division at UC Irvine. In her professor life, she is the Robert A. and Barbara L. Kleist Professor of Informatics in the School of Information and Computer Sciences and in the School of Education and School of Medicine at UC Irvine. Her research interests are in human-computer interaction, ubiquitous computing, assistive and educational technologies, and health informatics. She designs, develops, deploys, and evaluates technologies to empower people to use collected data to address real human needs in sensitive and ethically responsible ways.

Ruth Quinnan, Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Graduate Academic and Student Affairs
Ruth Quinnan directs strategic planning and policy analysis for Academic Affairs; oversees development and implementation of campus’ graduate application, admissions, and enrolled systems; co-Functional Lead for the Graduate Division for campus SIS project. Oversees and reviews all academic exceptions including admissions, student progress, student status, and other policy exceptions. Directs the Graduate Academic Programs office, the Graduate Outreach, Recruitment and Diversity areas; and Postdoctoral and Extramural Affairs. Directs and provides guidance to the Graduate Academic Counselor; consults on student issues and ASE and Postdoctoral contract compliance.

Marcelle Hayashida, Associate Vice Chancellor, Wellness, Health and Counseling Services
Dr. Marcelle Hayashida is associate vice chancellor for Wellness, Health & Counseling Services at the University of California, Irvine. Prior to her position as AVC, Dr. Hayashida served as associate dean of students/dean of women at Pomona College in Claremont, California. Hayashida earned her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and her PhD from the University of Michigan.

Tim Trevan, Executive Director of Housing
Tim Trevan is Executive Director for Student Housing at UCI, a role he’s held since 2018. He enjoys working with students and campus partners to foster a First in Class residential experience that supports students’ academic and personal goals.

Reginald Gardner, President, Associated Graduate Students
Gardner is responsible for setting the vision for AGS with the help of the executive board. He plans the short and long term strategic, operational and organizational goals for AGS. Garner serves as the Chief Executive Officer of AGS, chairing all meetings and deliberations of the AGS Council. He is building and sustaining vital relationships with campus partners on all matters pertaining to graduate students. Garner is also recognizing graduate student needs and working with campus administration to fulfill those needs. He facilitates the creation and continuation of AGS Programs and Events. He is developing the annual AGS Budget and overseeing the distribution and expenditure of funds depending on project needs. Lastly, along with VP Finance, he spearheads fundraising efforts for AGS from both on campus and external business community to fuel increased programming serving all graduate students.

Archana Sheth, Associate Director of the International Center
Archana Sheth is the Associate Director of the UCI International Center where they advance and facilitate international engagement at UCI to enhance the academic and personal experience of the international community. She is a UC Irvine alumnus and has worked at the university since 2007, including seven years as an International Student Advisor.

Kayleigh Anderson-Natale, Director, Graduate and Postdoctoral Scholar Resource Center
A recent UC Riverside graduate with a PhD in Higher Education Administration and Policy, Kayleigh is an experienced education administrator. Her higher education experiences range from working on professional development issues with graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, managing mentoring programs, and developing workshops, seminars and trainings to promote diversity and inclusion for underrepresented graduate student groups. Currently, Kayleigh works with UCI postdoctoral scholars, advocating on their behalf and helping them to gain the skills and experiences necessary to pursue their chosen career path.
