Graduate Preparation for UC Irvine Students

It’s never too early to start preparing for graduate school, and we host several resources designed to help Anteaters prepare for the application process and beyond.  Whether you’re just getting started and need some direction, or are well into the process and need more specific guidance, we can support you.  Setting your sights on going to graduate school is a big goal and we want you to be successful.

UC Irvine diversity students interested in graduate school can attend the one day Southern California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education or those interested in a more intense program can apply for the UC LEADS program which is a two year program for students in the sciences.

Through the Graduate Resource Center, the Graduate Division conducts a series of Graduate Preparation Workshops to help all UC Irvine students prepare for graduate school. Past workshops include:

  • Selecting an Advisor
  • Selecting and Applying Successfully to Graduate School
  • Funding your Graduate Education
  • 1st Year Graduate Student Panel

For more information about the workshops please visit the Graduate Division Calendar.

Non-UC Irvine students please click here to view graduate preparation opportunities for non-UCI students.
